About the JIC Project

The Jews of Islamic Countries Archiving Project was established in 2000, at the
Humanities Faculty of Tel-Aviv University by Prof. Yaron Tsur.

The project consists of three intertwined activities:
  1. Digital scanning, cataloging, and computerization of relevant documentary material.
  2. Using computerized data to establish a website for the use of students in academic institutions, schools, and the general public.
  3. Research of the history and culture of Jews from Islamic countries.
